I'm sooo impressed by @pixelfed progress and @dansup relentless push of the project so far beyond what a "better instagram" might be. I strongly believe, that aside from a smaller user base, Pixelfed is not a mere replacement for instagram, it's a much better instagram in almost every respect. Moving forward, it is my photo sharing app of choice. Feel free to follow me at @rosnovsky or just check it out at https://pixelfed.social/rosnovsky
There are two types of people, who grew up in big cities: those who hate big cities, and those who can't imagine living in a small town. I'm the first type. I have this weird fascination with small towns. I find a lot of them to be cute, and adorable, and cozy, and just overall lovely (some more then others.) I love walking along a few "downtown" streets, peeking into old bookstores, and stop at random grill bars or coffee shops... It brings me comfort and peace.
Feel free to hit me up!
Disregard this, I've made it work @rosnovsky:chat.rosnovsky.us :)
Sesame Street, a show created for public access television to help kids from low-income families learn to read and write, is being put being a paywall which will prevent the kids who most need it from accessing it.
The past 50 seasons are also included in that so they can't be streamed anywhere else.
Pirate Sesame Street.

Whenever someone tells me about a new awesome service Google just launched, I point them to https://killedbygoogle.com/. I have zero trust in Google's ability to build and keep services. Their service portfolio is a mess, And I don't think they understand services at all.
saw this hilarious news article on nbcnews i think about how electric cars are bad for auto workers and car dealerships because they are simpler machines that require way less maintenance so dealerships make less money on routine maintenance over the life of the car and auto workers have less work because they're easier to put together, an ev infrastructure would require fewer charging stations than there are gas stations, and so there'd be less jobs for gas pumpers (?) it was really wild, made me fuming mad but now i've enough distance from it i can laugh about it
